1) How Dr. Seidener plans to bring school spirit to our school – why she plans on it? what are some of her ideas for “school spirit?” (talk to principle, different students and their opinions on the new “spirit”

2) Clubs in our school : with a new school year, what are some of our school clubs’ plans (pick a newer club, and its progress at Beach High)

3) Progress of construction in our school – when new buildings are scheduled to open, what everyone thinks about the progress, what administrators and principal have to say about it, maybe how some construction workers feel about the progress

4) miami beach senior high school students and alumni and their art – why they got into art, why it interests them, if any, what they have participated in, what they plan on doing in the future with their art

5) new teachers in our school – what their plans on for the future, how they like the school, their opinion on the school and the students

6) New attendance and tardy policy at the school – how its affecting everyone in the school (i.e. students, teachers) and parents and administrators opinions on the new policy, the progress

7) school dropping down to a D school – everyone’s feelings, what are the improvement plans, principle’s opinion

8) school’s new dress code policy – everyones feelings on it, how much more strict they have become this year, why was the dress code not inforced so much in the past years

9)upcoming FCAT – students taking the new FCAT, students that have to retake it, why they think they did not pass, how high are the expectations for the FCAT this year

Who: Broward County school district; Superintendent Jim Notter; freshman at broward county schools such as Pompano Beach High

What:  Superintendent and school board are planning new strategies for creating new freshman experience used first-time full-day orientation at Pompano Beach High

W hen: This school year

Why:  To prevent so many drop-outs by students that are in the 9th grade

How: By passing decision by the Superintendent and the school board.

Superintendent  Jim Notter and the Broward County school board will be changing the freshman experience adding full-time full day orientations and other things to make them feel comfortable at the new school in order to prevent as many drop-outs as the past years.
